2012 Jeep Patriot Transmission Issues: T355 Magna & CVT Concerns

I've had my 2012 Patriot for 3 years (Maf iz herd) and have pretty much enjoyed it though I'm disappointed that Fiat hasn't taken the reigns with their transmissions. What I mean to say that everything about this particular jeep is pretty cool EXCEPT for the T355 magna and from all the horror stories I have heard, the CVT. But that doesn't stop me from being a proud owner of a Patriot.
I will enjoy driving that thing everyday until my transmission grenade itself....again.

If properly driven and maintained, the CVT should last the life of the vehicle. I have over 100,000 miles, finally got the fluid and filter changed and performance is just as good as day one. And, I towed a heavy utility trailer, but didn't push the car to make an unreasonable acceleration or speeds up hills. I guess it's the pilot in me that gives me a light touch on the controls...
