The 2011 Jeep Compass will start rolling into your local dealership later next month with prices starting at $19,295 – and yes, that is a significant jump from the starting price tag of $15,365 for the 2010 model year.
The 2011 Jeep Compass is available in three trim-levels including Compass, Latitude and Limited. The Compass Latitude and Compass Limited model start at $21,595 and $24,295 respectively, which is not that much of a jump over the 2011 model years (2010 Latitude started at $21,850, 2010 Limited started at $23,385).
Buyers can opt for continuously variable automatic transmission for $1,100, four-wheel-drive for $1,700, an upgraded audio system for $1,295, a navigation system for $685, a media center package for $640 (on base and Compass Latitude model, $290 for Compass Limited model) and Trail Rated Package for $500.
The 2011 Jeep Compass comes standard with a 2.0L World Engine making 158-hp and 141 lb-ft of torque. Mated to Chrysler’s new CVT2 transmission, the 2011 Compass with a 2.0L delivers a fuel-economy of 23/29 mpg (city/highway). Also available is a 2.4L World Engine that makes 172-hp and 165 lb-ft of torque (on the Compass Limited model). When mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and front-wheel-drive configuration, the 2.4L helps the 2011 Compass deliver 23/29 mpg.
