Hello everyone,

I missed this part when I signed up in June so I decided to take a step back and do it over. I bought my 2010 Optic Green Sport FDI in June. After reading some posts I did a few simple mods, nothing flashy. So please enjoy pictures and let me know what you think.

Short billet antenna

Reflective black "Patriot"...chrome line above the "Patriot"

Jeep shift knob

WeatherTech trunk mat

Class III Hidden hitch and black muffler

Interesting green, I will say I haven’t seen that color on a Patriot before. On the bumper, was the black in the Patriot added or from the factory?

I really like the rims, I recently upgraded to them on my limited.

x2 (shift knob).... did you have the part number?? how much???

btw... WELCOME!!!!! congrats for your new jeep!! I like the color!!!

I got the shift knob from a local Jeep dealer, part #5273590AB for $13.30+tax. I like that it's authentic Jeep product and looks much better than plain original one IMO, plus it costs much less than all the aftermarket ones on ebay. I like the antenna very much, don't notice any difference in reception compared to the stock one. It blends right into all other black parts on a Jeep and doesn't bend like a boomerang when driving.

Ha ha! Another Optic green, I've had mine since november and in 16000 miles fromt Chicago to Kingston On. to Detroit to DC and all points between I have only seen 1 other in a showroom, never on the road. Love the shift knob. The "Grinch" has brother, nice.:D

As the sport does not get the chrome roof rails, what I did when I had mine, was to run a line of the Chrome trim you have used inside your doors , along the roof rails. Its not wide enough to be to be too flashy, but just sets it off.

Looking good!

I wonder if it will help keep bugs off your windshield...

I ordered a set of molded front splash guards today.

I wonder if they will help keep road grime off my cladding...

Nope... just the fronts. I will see how they fit/look. I may order the rear ones later.

Yes. That is what got me interested in purchasing a set.

Had a stone hit the windshield on the highway. Now the windshield is cracked and needs to be replaced. The insurance wants $500 deductible which is double the price of the windshield. New windshield with upper shade band is getting installed on Friday morning and all for $189.

If it is a chip, most insurance companies will waive your comp deductible. If your insurance company contracts with Safelite, they can fill your chip/crack with resin as long as it's smaller than a half-dollar (I think... the Safelite rep used the word "dollar" to me in their resin-fill limits, but half-dollar makes sense. I don't do glass claims).

Adding a glass waiver endorsement to your policy is cheap too. If you add this endorsement then they will replace your windshield (if necessary if it can't be filled with resin) at no cost and waive the deductible. I never had that endorsement on my policy but when I added my Patriot to my policy a few weeks ago I was playing with my coverages and the glass waiver was only an extra $13 per 6 months. I wish I had known this before I paid out of pocket for four brand new windshields on my Impala...

$189? Wow. To me, that seems inexpensive.

Windshields get trashed in this area of NORCAL. I hope all goes well.

My factory windshield does not have an upper shade band. I wish it did.
