There are three 4x4 systems that were available in 2005 model: Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II. If there is no lever, most likely it's Quadra-Trac I, the full time AWD system with single speed transfer case.

I know! I was hoping I was just missing something on the interior but I was correct in my thinking, when TJN posted. I was very excited, but hey, I'll keep looking.

Maybe it's a mislabeled 4x2? Look for front drive shaft and half shafts. That generation didn't have a solid front axle, right?

Could be possible.. The first Libby I looked at was the 2nd generation and the idiot dealer had it as an 06...

 

The vin registers a 4wd. Seats looked awful. Got to open the doors and look around the back

The 4wd lever in the 05s is identical to the kind in the pat if you have the QTrac2 or QDrive systems. Just a little chrome t handle just next to the shifter. My mom had an 05 GC 5.7 with QD.

If you have the base Qtrac1 system, there is no option to select a particular mode, as the system operates essentially like an auto-AWD setup. If that application, there is no t-handle to select any mode. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_four-wheel-drive_systems#Quadra-Trac_I

 

Thank you brohio. I've decided to keep looking. It was a great price, but I just don't think I would like that.

Most likely I will be driving the new vehicle. So I'm kinda looking for a wrangler unlimited. I was gonna purchase one earlier this year, but a big sale I was suppose to make did not happen. So the plans were pushed back.
