Hi All:

I'm considering putting a full set of Jeep Air Deflectors (Hood, Sides, Rear) on Pat.

Should I be concerned about car wash damage? Not to the car wash, to Pat.

Thanks,

Barry

Hogdad,
I've got the air deflectors on the four doors and the front of the hood but not the rear one. I havn't had any problems at all with reguards to damage.
I only use the touchless car washes though. I wouldn't go through one that had the brushes that actually touch the jeep :wow:

Oh, by the way, what model scoot do you ride?

Mine is a Heritage (FLSTCI)

Hi Grizzly,
I have a 2000 FLHT Electra Glide Standard. Just brought it in today for the 25,000 mile service. Has served me very well. My wife and I took out the 2009 Road King Classic at the Northeast HOG Rally last month. Nice ride.
How's the Heritage been?

Hogdad,
Outstanding! I love the FLH models. I've got 20,000 miles on my softail and it runs like a Swiss watch. Never had any problems at all. My wife and I went to the Canadian Atlantic rally this summer in Sydney Cape Breton Nova Scotia and saw the 2009's there, very nice! Met some very nice folks there from New Jersey who rode up for the rally

I have a Mopar rear deflector and take it to touchless car washes only. Went through one with soft cloths and am convinced it would eventually take the deflector off. Put it on myself - did not care much for the mounts. The appearance of the deflector is ok and it really keeps the rear hatch clean. Would do it again.

I have a Mopar front hood deflector and have had no issues. I use the wand and touchless car washes and blow the he@@ out of it. No damage to either the Patriot or the hood deflector.

I've had them on other cars and never had any problem with touch or touchless, but then again it could be just luck. Of course you could do it the old fashion way- by hand.
