After checking this site out and reading all about the Patriot. I decided to buy one. I picked up my Pat two days ago. It is a 08' Jeep Patriot 4x4 Sunburst Orange Pearl. Has alot of optionals that I purchased with it. Here are a couple pics of it and the window sticker. I've already had it offroad on some light trails (level muddy trails). It performed very well and got some looks from a stuck Ford 150 4x4 :smiley_thumbs_up:. I assisted pulling him out with the help of a chevy owner and his 4x4 truck. The Ford suffered a flat tire from being pulled out at a angle. The tire was dug in real deep and when pulled out caused the tire to separate from the rim. The tire did not immediately go flat but hissed all the way to the garage. I followed him to make sure he got there ok.

we got the sunburst orange pearl too ....can't wait to take some pics to share

Like the color! Riot and window sticker, could be a twin. More I drive this Riot the more I like it. Everyone wants to know what the color is called. Enjoy

Welcome to the site and nice Pat. If you want to try out your new ride with some other Patriot owners there are a bunch of us going to Badlands off road park on the 23rd. Your not too far away from Attica. Check it out in the trail rides section.

I'll be making the trek over to the Badlands in Indiana too. Hope to see you there!

I just bought my Patriot on Saturday with 16 (okay, 16.8...I'm a perfectionist), and I'm in love. I just joined this site because I'm looking to make some upgrades....ie, hidden hitch, engine oil cooler, fog lights,...nothing serious. I'm out in the south western suburbs of Chicago (Lagrange to be exact) and I'd love to meet up with you guys out at the Badlands. Do you have room for a newbie?

This is my first jeep...and I upgraded from a Pontiac G6. I say upgraded, because that's exactly what this is. Unfortunately, I've only burned through one tank of gas and the gas mileage wasn't that great...but I've been reading that the gas mileage improves over time?? I've never heard that before, but I'm going to take your word on it.

The Jeep is the 4x4 Sport, 26E convenience package, Jeep Green Metallic.

Any tips??

Yea, mileage usually goes up as time goes on, and that's pretty much true with every new vehicle. Hopefully yours will do the same darned thing.
Enjoy the forums. There is a LOT of information in here for what you are looking for.

Yep, and lots of them if I am able. Just stills though..I don't have a movie camera. But I'll abuse my Canon digital SLR though!!:D

I have a digital video camera as well as still shot. We can get some good video.

Few questions on the offroading:

What time?
What kinds of trails?

and is there another post for this trail ride???
