I've seen a post or two about cheap billet antennas. Bought two today for $5.98 per, 14" with universal adapter studs. The Xscape took two minutes, one to find my adjustable wrench and the other to find a magnifying glass, small illustrations for the studs.
So easy you only need the wrench to take off the OEM antenna. Cranks back on by hand.
Going out for a spin to check on my "reduced" reception.
Advance Auto Parts had the ticket.

REPORT: Still have all my favs, which isn't much in Palm Beach County; the Gator and the Buzz.

My reception didn't change one bit. Pick up everything great with the new shorty.

Not enough stations here in SoFLA to make any difference, seems to be fine though.
Ten years ago my '93 GC had the power antenna whacked off by a tree branch, so I had a billet antenna installed. Yeah, the first Grands had power antennas and they cost $275. Not too smart. Well, driving to the Jersey shore from just outside of Phila showed the limitations of these things. The range was maybe 75% of a mast antenna.
The Pat has its now as well, its a keeper! Not bad for $5.98. The Pat actually used the Ford adapter, not the Chrysler.
