I know there are a lot of people out there opting for a patriot including myself
What are some of the things that you like about the patriot?
What are some of the thing that you don't like about the patriot?
What would you change??
Thanks in advance

BTW right now the only change I can think of is the headrests for my wife. Otherwise this is the perfect combination of features for the money. Yeah an off road version with a clutch would be nice but that isn't why I bought it. Yes a diesel is nice but it depends where they get the diesel and if it has a manual. Oh another 20 horses would be nice:D

never enough horses

Silvermike I think we always wish for more horses,it's the same with money.
It reminds me of an interview with the old Rockefeller.Someone asked him how much money is enough money and he answered "you always wish you had little bit more:) ".

yeah...when it comes to more horsepower...I try and satisfy this want by getting a k&n air filter...they're great- more horsepower better mileage, and I am basically positive they do not void warranty, nor do I believe they will empty your wallet- if I buy a patriot, that is on my list of things to buy

I have to honestly give it a 9. If it had a separate rear hatch glass and hatch door, or hatch glass and tail gate I would've given it an 11. ;)

I gave it an 8, but that's incredible coming from me cause I'm pretty picky. Solid axles and a CRD would have got a 10 though.

CRD - Common Rail Diesel. To sum it up a high pressure fuel injection system that was used in last year's Jeep Liberty Diesel.

I give it a 9. I really love the new Jeep (my girlfriend's dad jokingly pronounces it with a soft "j" as in HEEP.) :D

Things I wish:
- cruise control was standard. I missed that on my 4-hour road trip this weekend
- the sun visors don't move over against the door window when moved to block sun from the side. They hit the "roof" where it joins the top of the door... seems uncomfortably close to my head.
- iPod doc in the armrest is awkward. I just put my iPod in teh cubby under the stereo

So far... that is my entire list of complaints.

I gave it an 8.
Reasons why:
1) Lack of Heated Mirrors. D/C lied and wouldn't take steps to correct it.
2) The rear view mirror feels as if it is 100 miles away.
3) the view out of the rear view mirror.
4) lack of Pick-up. (I love the CVT and the gas mileage. I guess to get the MPG you have to give up power. )
5) High Shelf of the cargo area.
6) Position of the cup holders in the Rear

All of the above are VERY minor but they do tend to add up and make me less than 100% happy with the vehicle.
