I know this post http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2423&highlight=build+info is a year old but I tried what Jimmy suggested and received the following e-mail from Chrysler:

Dear XXXX:

I went to Jeep.com, selected For Owners, selected Contact Us, selected Customer Assistance, selected Send Us An E-mail, then filled in all of the information requested. Is there some other secret I don't know about getting this information?

Just go to any Jeep dealer and ask for one. You will need to give them the last 8 numbers/letters of your vin. Just go to the dealer you bought it from and bring your registration if you feel more comfortable doing that. They can print it instantly and it is free. I did that on my Jeep so I know they can do it.

That's how the dealer finds out what's installed at the factory when it was built and the build date is on it, when they have to do warrenty work. They have to know the actual build date for warrenty repairs and recalls. They just pull a build sheet off the computor. They have a direct connection to Chrysler/Jeep. I have watched them do it.

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I'm having the OEM speed control kit installed in two days and I'll ask the dealer then for the info.
