Be sure and post pictures when it arrives, especially of the interior. What other options did you order? What color did you order and what colors were available for '09?

When did you order yours? I ordered a 2009 sport in early July, and as of Friday last week it didn't have a VIN number yet. I'm moving from south Georgia to the coast of Lake Michigan and wanted the cheapest 4x4 I could get. For a no option 4x4 with a manual I had to order.

I have the Harley for the summer and the Patriot for the winter. Between the two I should get pretty good mileage.

Oh, and for those asking about price, the dealer said low 18's for the basic sport 4x4 with no options. I don't know specifics until my supplier discount and whatever rebates are available at delivery are applied. Dealer said if I don't like the price when it's all said and done, I don't have to take delivery. No deposit to order either.

I ordered in early June. Got it in Silver with the Tire and Wheel Group with Manual Transmission. I couldn't stand the CVT. Right, there was no deposit to order. Your VIN number should be available soon if not already. You may want to check back. I believe the 2009 models began manufacturing July 21. Heck, I might have the 1st ever built. Who knows?

Why not a windshield mounted antenna... instaead of mast and of course the «very hot» heated mirrors.

Here is a 2009 Dodge Journey in Deep Water Blue. I liked the Steel Blue a lot better.

Ew. Steel blue and surf blue are both much nicer looking than that deep water blue color... eek.

I just KNOW I am gonna catch a raft full of s**t for this, but I actually like it if a person (no, not ME) would put some kind of wheel that resembles the old Cragar S/S's. Anyone remember those?? Don't ask me why but I think that would actually look..err..umm.. GOOD!

I'll see if I can't Photoshop something to that effect and post it later..

Edit: Ok I lied. I just went to the Dodge site and saw one of them with some chrome wheels on it. It DIDN'T help it!
I take back what I said about it up above there.

The base price on both Sport models went up $305 compared to the year end MSRP of the 2008 Sport models. I guess that's not too bad.

done!

Picking up my 2009 Jeep Patriot Sport tomorrow! Looks like there are a few sites with decent quality photographs of the new interiors. Might be worth checking out for people. Definitely not nearly as good as the real thing.

You've got to post some pics of your 2009 when you get it! I'm waiting on mine to get here from the factory. It will probably still be a few weeks before mine arrives. :banana:

Anyway, just wanted to add how great of a forum it is here since this is me first post (although i've been reading the forum for a long time now)

- INSULATION, ENGINE COMPARTMENT

I'd like to know the details of what/where the compartment insulation is on the 2009's and see if I we can add the same stuff to our 2007/2008 models. I guess we need a 2009 parts list and some pictures of the insulation.

I am looking to quiet things down just a little.
