when fitting bigger tyres...235/65/17 for me....is it possible to re-calibrate the speedo so it reads correctly?

thought i saw something about this but searching just finds differences in speedo readings...

thanks, mark,

Your dealer will have to do it. When getting bigger tires, it also effects your ABS too. They will have to flash the comp and add the differance.

can anyone with a diagostonic computer do it? my guy was able to read the engine diag fault light and the esp fault light when the wheel was off centre and put them out....i'll ask them.... and let you know..

thanks.

Has anyone tried the Dakota digital sgi-5 to re-calibrate their speedo or know if it will work on a patriot. I did it on my 1998 jeep wrangler. It taps in to the speed sensor signal wire and re-calibrates it to either read faster or slower. I know it will more than likely work with the vss, my only concern is will the abs be messed up. Also how much are you guys spending to re-calibrate the speedo at the dealer????

I have a friend who paid 50 bucks to have his done when he downsized from 20's to 17's on an '07 Silverado.
