anyways this summer me and a few friends want to make an offroading video my 2 friends have wranglers and think that they are the best thing since sliced bread but won't do any offroading well one will go through a few things I live in a (sub)urban so there aren't that many place to film offroading stuff so anyways the kid with the FWD patriot has to show the kids with the wranglers what to do so here's the video and a link its stupid we snuck into a bumpy constructions site and there's a hill by burger king that we tried to skate over when we were younger anyways hope you like it its dumb. well here's SUBURBAN OFFROADING

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9YzrKEHOr4

HHHmmmm....Im at work right now, and they got me blocked from hitting utube..I'll check it our once I get home.
In the interum, can I introduce you to a concept called sentence structure, that includes a small dot called a 'period'?
Thanks!!

what's the point of having a wrangler and not using it for what it's BUILT FOR? Then again, the hummer h2 is one of the MOST capable offroaders..yet only 10% of the owners know that, and only 10% of THOSE actually use it for that.

And dude, not sure if driving on a bumpy dirt road counts as off-roading....sorry

OK, seriously, no flaming intended. You should take your interest in getting off the pavement and go out and do some real offroading in a designated area. You'll have more fun, and you'll really learn the fun of offroad driving which is as much about challenge and cameraderie as it is about driving. At the end of the day, camp out and hear the crickets and creatures of the forest. THAT is what a Jeep is for.

Trust me, I was 17 once too. There is more and better to come.

It's more of a challenge to go up the hills in downtown Seattle than that dirt lot--sorry but that ain't offroading-and a bone stock Wrangler on it's worst day will beat any Patriot on it's best day going offroad. There are some trails out there that were a cakewalk for my TJ that would have ruined a Patriot inside of 20 minutes. I love my Pat, but I know it's limitations.

Let's see what did we call those wannabe kids in high school and jr. high that would try to imitate the cool things but in a really lame way..... Oh Yeah!!

Dorks!

Then theres a name for kids that have way too many toys and then go pound the crap out of them just to make themselves feel better better about themselves because they just aren't quite the toys they wanted... Oh yeah!

Morons.

That was just wrong on so many levels that it isn't even worth discussing. Not the least of which is wasting $4/gallon gas to do really stupid, lame crap while some people are having a hard time affording gas to get back and forth to work. Doing it in inappropriate areas without permission in a destructive manner no less.

I would suggest changing the opening to this

PATRIOT :)

IN THE HANDS OF AN IDIOT :(

You California people do not grasp how scarce wheeling land is East of the Mississip. Not that I support illegal activity, I do not. It is all ATV "straddle type" vehicles here. That is what the land is designated for. Pretty much if you want to use a Jeep or pickup or SUV for off roading, your choices are severely limited. The land is already "closed". It was never designated for Jeeps. Only Snowmobiles, motocross bikes and ATVs. Back roads and my own 40 acres of land are the only places within a 150 miles that I can drive off of pavement legally.

I beg to differ. I've seen a stock Suburu Outback wheel through mud, and a Jeep YJ get stuck. An ORV is only as good as it's weakest link which in most cases is always the driver.

Another great example was a few years ago when I still worked for the eagle we had some major washouts, and my RWD mail Jeep was getting through a route where out other carriers were stuck in their 4WD Mail Cherokees.

It doesn't matter if "it's for real" point is using your vehicle on private property without permission gives a bad name to REAL wheelers, this applies whether it's a construction site, farmland or a trail through the woods.

okay first of all people at the site came after we snuck in and then we talked about offroading with someone who worked there. He had a big lifted f-150 with 34 inch tires when. When were at the burger king the manager came out (who i knew) and said that he didn't care if we did it just to not do it if customers were around and that he liked the color of my car. I understand what you are saying though, I've been skating that gap since i was 10 I know what's up there. Skaters get kicked out of private property all the time does it make them bad people? (I'm not a real wheeler?)

Not sure what to make of that video, it is too grainy to see anything. Offroading at a construction site can lead to tire punctures and other things....

Still no different you happened to get lucky, it could just as easily been the owner of the property and he could have called the police.

That's slightly better, ask first next time.

Skaters get kicked out of private property all the time does it make them bad people?
Nope just trespassers. I've seen first hand (and paid for) the damage skaters can do to property.

(I'm not a real wheeler?)
Not with that, my drive home is more challenging.

Actually violation of the law sort of does make them bad people. In this case trespassing on private property. And I'm more than willing to bet that there are local ordnances and state laws that regulate the use of ORVs. I'd also be willing to guess that the developer's legal staff would take issue to that.

I've spent enough time working in safety to tell you how many things can go wrong on a construction site when there is no construction going on. Inexperience drivers, trespassing in an area of high potential for injury is inviting disaster.
