It looks like there are 2 version(RER and REP) available. Does anyone know if either of these would work in the Patriot? They are getting cheaper on EBAY, but the Patriot is not listed as working for either. I would think one of them would have to work, but I'm not sure.

TIA

In a word: No, they dont fit, and there are several other MyGIG models besides the ones that you listed. Apparently there was one installed in a Grand Cherokee (before it was a factory option) but i dont know if it ever worked 100% or what was involved in installing it. Different CAN BUS systems, and different plugs to deal with.

FYI, for the '09 model year the patriot/compass/caliber will have mygig as a factory option

I guess I should have tried searchng first. So it looks like the answer is no because the Patriot is Can-bus C. The models on ebay say they are either high speed or low sped can-bus and it seems the Patriot is medium speed.

That sucks, oh well I guess I'm back to aftermarket options.

i dont know all the features of a mygig but the pioneer avic z2 looks promising and it is cheaper.
I've been planning going with a Pioneer system all along, but the prices of MyGig systems on EBAY are pretty low. If that would have worked I would be able to retain the UConnect, Sirius tuner and steering controls with out additional costs. Just would have to add the double din center console. Oh well, it was worth a shot.
