This is my first 4- banger I've always had v8 cars with a couple v6 and 2 i6 however I like a truck type sound being this is a jeep.
I don't not like the ricer sound I just don't want it on a jeep

I don't get the negativity certain people bring to topics. It's not your car, it's the owners. I personally want a nice volumed, semi-ricer sound. It's all about how the driver want's the riot to be. If it's not your style, just wish him luck on his build, if it's your style, follow the build and enjoy the results.

I'm along for the ride, and will eat my bowl of rice with a fork if I so please!

Its just an opinion and words on the internet. If you cant take criticism in any way, then a forum isnt for you.

The Armchair Muffler Experts, you guys are somewhat Clueless. I put a Flowmaster Hushpower inline on my Patriot and it sounds great, no ricer sound as I can't stand them. There is no longer a biga$$ Muffler in the stock location. It is empty where the stock muffler used to be.

Yeah ok armchair experts, like I said before I'm glad a couple of you like the muffler and think it sounds good on your 4 cyl. Just don't get mad that others have an opinion and they don't like it.

Which Muffler are you talking about ? The 44 or Hushpower or all Mufflers in general ?
Aftermarket mufflers on a 4cyl, Alot of subaru guys use your hushpower. Most to all aftermarket mufflers on a 4 cyl sound pretty close to me. You guys like them more power too you. I don't like them.

11 Subaru impreza with 3in cat back with hushpower muffler

11 Forester hushpower

05 Subaru WRX hushpower DBX

Subaru Legacy with Flowmaster 44

04 STI Flowmaster 44

I don't know what all that crap is on the tailpipe section but I don't have any of that bs welded or bolted to my Patriot. My Hushpower is mounted about half up on my Patriot. Those videos show some bs on the back section, tailpipe area that makes it sound that way. My Patriot does not sound like those Subarus at all. I HATE the Ricer Sound and at 58 years old, I sure the hell wouldn't have my Patriot sounding like that. Nice Videos you posted. Can you post a photo of the Flowmaster Hushpower ?

I have the Flowmaster Hushpower-2, a thin narrow nice sounding unit. Until one actually changes to said muffler and listens to said muffler on their own vehicle and not some other vehicle then said person can post all the videos they want cause said person will not actually know what the actual sound is. It's like the Mainstream Media, do you believe what said Media tells you ?
