Hey ppl, it's my b-day today, ane the kids supplied me with funds to get deflectors for my riot. I had them on both of our Caravans ( until the kids grew up, then they were history!) loved them, and was wondering if anyone has installed these, what is the procedure, and are there any downfalls that have been noticed..Thanks, Craigman

Just installed mine on wednesday, I bought the Mopar ones made for the jeep patriot. Took about 5 minutes to install all 4. All you have to do is clean the area with the inclosed alcohol pads, peal off the tape backing and stick them on. The only downfall I see is you can only crack the window about less than a quarter of an inch or the rain comes in. And yes I have them installed correctly. But thats about it. Love them otherwise.....now if I could just figure out how to get the front bug deflector on I'll be all set, but i don't trust myself taking a drill to the hood!

had the mopar ones @ first...downfalls are wind noise, mounting on door and very little clearence when cracking open the windows in rain....switched them out for the AVS in track ones and they are perfect!!! no wind noise and you can crack the windows open an inch plus without worrys of rain getting in!!

I had the weathertech ones on my previous vehicle and they were really terrific. They did all the things they were supposed to...reduced wind buffetting, reduced noise, and let me leave the windows open a pretty good bit in rain. Also good b/c can leave the windows cracked and it's not obvious in a parking lot.

Ordered the ventshades from Van and Truck World in Hamilton today. They are made by autoventshade, and are the exact side vents that are sold by mopar, but without the little Jeep logo. The dealer cost was $103 + taxes, I paid $69 + tax there, will take till wed to get them, much better deal I think...they are worth a try at this price...I'll let ya know the results, and hopefully post a pic, if I can figure out how to shrink the file sizes, they keep rejecting my pictures!!...see ya, Craigman

Boo Yah!!

Just finished installing the deflectors, with the help of my son for levelling. They look great! Here is the pic of the ongoing progress of Craigman's Riot.

Can one of you guys tell me if the tint of the mopar front bug deflector (or rear deflector) is the same as the AVS window deflectors?

Are these AVS window deflectors in-channel model???? Is the tint and color the same as the Mopar tint and color?

They are AVS, and are the same tint as Mopar., and cost almost half!..they mount on the outside, but I personally think they make the truck look beefier...Cheers, Craigman

I received the auto ventshade in-channel ones as a gift (great gift might I add) and installed in a few minutes. Very easy, very satisfied! reduces that blast of wind in the face with the window down and looks great! Got them off ebay for like $50! Highly recommend.
