I was playing around with the 2006 SEMA Jeep Patriot's color and bumper a bit...

I think that this will lighten it a bit, gives it a nice more 'Jeep' look, and a great approach angle.

Any thoughts?

Looks great to me! I don't know about lightening the vehicle--how heavy is that plastic anyway?

I don't think he meant lighten the vehicle, I think he meant lighten the the original SEMA bumper.

I honestly dont notice much of a difference, besides color and the rear bumper being more square. What exactly was done?

Um, yeah, can you design a rear one to match, and then have it fabricated? That would be great!

I couldn't get the white quite right tonight but did get a decent gold.

I did mean lighter in weight than the SEMA version. This one also has a full roof rack and new rear bumper, too.

To make sure it was street legal here, I put one of those flexible, truck mud-flaps behind the rear tire hanging off the new bumper.

OOOOOO, Daddy like! Maybe one more thing, can you trim the wing tips to match the body lines? The little piece that sticks out next to the turn signal looks strange. Oh, and one other thing I'm looking to have made is a replacement for the plastic rocker/seam weld trim. I'd like to have the seam encased in a removable steel rail. Adding rails under the plastic only reduces clearance. Then, we're going to have the lower 1/3 coated with some sort of bed liner product (basically from that middle angle line down, including over the wheels). I'm asking a lot, but a good rendering would be handy to take to a fabricator. You rock!

Last thing, can you slap a receiver in that front bumper for a portable winch?

Yeah, so basically the computer moniter at work sucks and had a chance now to look at the pic, and I can see the difference. Looks awsome. Nice photoshop skills.

That's just about it! Can you extend that rail forward to the wheel well and nix the little plastic trim piece just behind the well? It looks AWESOME. Can't wait to have it built! Your work is MUCH appreciated. It will be handy to take to a fabricator and just say, 'that's what I want'.

Also wondering what it would look like with fog lights integrated into the bumper like the new Wranglers.

Are you saving these as new revisions? It would be cool to see how this all progressed, and maybe have a few 'final options'.

Another mod I've always wondered what it would look like: rectangular headlights, like the old Cherokee. They may fit the angular lines a little better.
