Mine's on order, I've gone for a Bright Silver 2.0 CRD Limited. I was hoping to pick it up this weekend but there is a chance that it might not be ready until Tuesday of next week.

I'm in Bristol by the way :)

Great pics!

How poor do you think the interior is, say compared to a Rav or CrV?

Here in France the New VW Tiguan is only slighty more Euros than the Pat Ltd, the VW interior is (I think) superb.

With all the rumours and upheavel at Chrysler what sold you on the Patriot?
I was 99% going to get one this March but now I'm seriously thinking about not buying one and choosing the VW Tiguan, it just seems better value for money to me. Let me know your thoughts please.

Enjoy your new Pat! :)

Just gor back from a 500 mile round trip - not exactly cross country stuff but a real cross section of driving - from motroways to Heathrow, broken road surfaces at a marina building site near Southamption plus carrying two big Swedish guys who are my business associates.

We all loved the drive - the diesel ensgine is a dream, the stearing very light making parking very easy. A really enjoyable drive

The interior is just fine in my opinion. Yes I know that a lot of reviews complain about the plastic, but to be honest it suits me fine seeing as I have a young daughter...I can wipe it clean. The leather was a good investment too, it looks great with the silver paintwork.

I looked at a load of alternatives, all more expensive, less reliable off-road and more to tax. I went for the diesel version as it has a lower emission figure than all of the others.

I wasn't sold on the Tiguan, and at the end of the day the CRD has a 2.0 diesel engine that is actually a VW engine, and someone also said that it uses a VW gearbox.

Over the last couple of days I have done 400 miles in it and it was a lovely comfortable ride...so far I am loving it. :)

I must say the Limited does look more plush than the Sport and the steering wheel in the former must make all the difference as I find mine quite plasticy.
I've got a Land Rover Freelander II as a courtesy car at the moment and it feels much more upmarket inside than the Patriot. But at ÂŁ5k more on the price you would expect so. When I first got the Freelander II I was really impressed, nicer interior much more toys (Bluetooth phone connection, reverse sensors, better plastics and touches) but after 3 days I think I actually prefer the Patriot , just because of the looks and it feels quicker. The blacked out windows and boxy looks really do it for me. Line them side by side the Landy looks more expensive, but more of a housewive's school run car, whereas the Patriot looks more distinctive, purposeful and turns more heads...and does better MPG!

6 CD changer and sat nav

Hi all

Am thinking about getting a Patriot CRD Ltd and wonder if anyone had paid for the option of the 6 Cd changer with 9 speakers and whats it's like for sound etc. I'm used to a bose system in an audi A3 which is fantastic. Also is there a sat nav option because I hate the look of that gap in the middle of the dash under the stereo. In the details I picked up from my jeep dealer it showed a Patrtiot with a central console with a big screen that looked superb but maybe that is a option in the US only. If ANYONE HAS ANY THOUGHTS GIVE ME A SHOUT! CHEERS.

I took the 6cd option and have to say the sound is excellent - more quality volume than you can reasonably use. Can't comment on the sat nav though

Hello

I have just ordered a Patriot CRD Ltd. Dealer could only locate a black one with sunroof and boston Hifi or a silver one without, so went for the black one. I think they must be waiting for a cargo ship to arrive from the US! 14 day delivery and still deliberating if i should get parking/reversing/backup sensors.

Must say I liked the old Cherokee 4x4 estate styling and the economical VW engine. Also, the 4.4% finance cussioned the financial blow :)

Trading in our trusty old '98 Wrangler Sport TJ didn't get on with the driving position in the new Wrangler.

I live near Tonbridge in Kent. Only seen one other Patriot on the road this year. Are there any more around?

Really loving this vehicle now. Stacks of comments form people about how good it looks and have just done a 300mile round trip with 4 adults and luggage - excellent. I wonder if Jeep really know how good a vehicle (with the diesle engine!) they have got here??? I've only seen on eother on the road so far.

Another long trip again this week - over to the Norfolk Broads - and really looking forward to it.

The only thing I don't like is the very silly filler cap!!

Yeah the filler cap is a bit awkward to use I find. I can't believe how happy the Patriot makes me feel when I drive it. Having driven performance cars for the last seven years this is a massive change for me. Yeah so the interior is a bit plastic but the diesel engine makes up for it, the way it pulls and pulls is amazing.

Only seen one other myself and that happens to be the demonstrator from the local dealership :) I like the exclusivity of it at the moment.

hi i live in leeds and just ordered a crd ltd had a good long test drive and was surprised how well it went and the ride quality had a 2005 cherokee 2.4 sport and that bounced down the road but not the pat just trailing the web for a bit of chrome plan on getting grille/mirrors and door handles will post pics when it arrives

I wanted to do the same thing with my Patriot audio system. As a stopgap I use an mp3 player with a built in FM transmitter. It plugs into the 12V power socket. I use an SD card or a pen drive with my mp3 files on it and just press play. I got mine for about ÂŁ14 (including postage) from Amazon (the TeckNet FM29A ). As with any FM transmitter you have to occasionally retune to avoid a strong radio station but it does the job for now.
