Crd ltd - silver
just some loose trim issues nothing else -
done 10000k's
get 6.3-7l per 100k on open road depends on hills and temperatures
7.5- 8.5 city driving or towing

About to get 1st service and getting an ipod kit

Absolutely love it - fuel bill is over 60% less than last car - grand cherokee v8

its the best affordable crd on the the market here in Australia - all others are korean - kia, hyundai and holden(GM)

Problems? Well the gas gauge doesn't work too well, with the needle not rising all the way to where it should be (usually stuck to empty). This seems to happen mainly with a cold vehicle. Getting it looked at next week (and finally getting that rear skid plate in place too, yay!).

Fuel consumption? Roughly 10 liters per 100km. Due to the time of year I am doing quite a bit of city driving, plus I don't have too many kilometers yet in my odometer (somewhat over 3000km). I expect to see a bit better figures closer to summer.

Ciao bi555!

- Country Spain
- CRD Limited, steel blue
- Problems: bad service from Chrysler Spain and the dealership, tyre pressure indicator was faulty once (more cases have been reported in this forum), and another problem related with corrosion. I'll post more info about it soon.
- Average about 6.5 l/100 km on road with gentle driving. Can be brought down to less than 6 l/100 km if you concentrate on maximum efficiency. Steep decline in fuel consumption after the 'break-in' period.

black CRD in Holland
10.000 kms without problems
8 ltr in city
7 on country roads
7,8 cruising 140 kmh on the autostrada

I did last year 80.000 kms with a Dodge Caliber CRD (same engine) without problems; average consumption 6,5

TAKE A DIESEL!

I'm hoping that they will bring a diesel engine to Canada soon.
Just leased a Pat that I will be picking up this coming Tuesday. Hopefully by the time I'm ready for a new Pat that the diesel will be here.

Ciao EuroPat!
is your Patriot Petrol or Diesel?
Corrosion problems? :( where?

I have 1500 miles on mine I've had it a month. I have the 5 speed and a gasoline engine. I get better mileage about 25 in town and in hilly country than it says, I get 28to 30 on the highway. Some say mileage will go up over time. No leaking on mine. If you like to drive aggressively, it may not have the kind of power you are looking for. Some owners have complained about lack of power. I find it plenty powerful and fun to drive. If you don't need 4 wheel drive, drive conservatively, and you like a manual transmission you can get some very good mileage out of this vehicle.

Mine is 4 wheel drive and I'm very happy with the mileage.

Patriot! Yes. :smiley_thumbs_up:

Crack open a good bottle of Italian wine for me and enjoy it! :beerchug:

Guys if it dosen't leak in Ireland...it won't leak!!!!!!!!believe me.....

Yes. There were/are issues with some units leaking when it rains. There are 3 notible defects that cause this.

1. Leaking due to lack of sealent at the rear, high center brake light.
2. Leak due to mishapen gaskets around doors.
3. Leak at firewall seam due to lack of sealent.

Those with the sunroof also reported leaks due to kinked/misrouting of drain tubes.

The "flapping hood" video on You-Tube caused some owners to panic. It is true that there were defects with some hinges and some owners did get them replaced under warranty precisely for that reason. Obviously the buffetting that was seen in the video link was out of tolerance, however some movement in the hinge assembly is perfectly acceptable due to it's clamshell design. Some owners who I won't name, believe that based on that video and the fact that the hood wasn't perfectly ridgid that they all were defective and should have been recalled.
