Any particular reason? I don't care that much about the AC (though I'm not going to tell the dealer that if/when we negotiate) and will factor both into the price/deal I'm willing to accept, but I don't see anything that stands out as a pass worthy given the starting price compared to what similar mileage Pats are going for in this area. The report says "This vehicle is in good condition with just a few minor issues."

Issues:

- tires in poor condition.
- a TPMS sensor likely malfuctioning.
- AC blows at 52 instead of 42 or less.
- minor scratch near fuel cap.
- normal seat wear for the mileage.
- lack of any ownership records.

I haven't made a decision on this vehicle and am sending the report to my local mechanic/friend before deciding if I want to try and buy it.

Still looks like a decent buy if you get a price you're comfortable with. Those issues would not be a deal breaker for me, especially if you can have the dealer repair them as part of the deal.

I would think members would go outside the box. So always buy from someone not associated with you or your family. If anything seriously bad happens you will always regret it. Maybe close your eyes and listen to your own thoughts. Evaluate the situation and never sit down with the loan officer. Never.

I ended up buying the used 2009 today and am pretty happy about the price ($12k) I got. I'll post some pictures later, probably in a new official thread.

Thanks for all the help everyone has been and I look forward to being part of the community here for a long time to come.

Look's good. The covers are just skins that go over the existing rim.

If it was me, I would remove those things as quickly as possible since all they really do is draw attention to a really bad wheel design.

Honestly, I don't know what Jeep was thinking when they designed them. They have to be the worst wheel design for a base vehicle that I've seen in a long time. I think there intent was too force people into buying the upgraded tire and wheel package.

I wish NorCal would have beaches where you could drive on. Looks shiny!

That particular spot only allows you to go about two miles down the beach. But there were a lot of cars out there today, and in general its a popular spot because most of the beach access areas are either private or state parks, and the latter require a pass or daily fee. This one is state land but is not a park and so there is no fee or ranger checking on people.

So its not like you can race up and down miles of empty beaches in your car, but I do enjoy parking and looking out at the sea. Very relaxing!
