Anything is possible. I have heard but I have not verified it to be true that the hardware is already present and all you need to do is have it activated at the Jeep Dealership. I would call your Jeep Service Center for a better answer on this part.

I believe "nearly.normal.jimmie has pictures of how he mounted one just over the rear view mirror. I previously asked if anyone had attempted to use a PDA--not response, but the PDA forum came back with a $120 adapter and software. Not quite as clean as the scan guage. Check it out! If you're a curious tech guy, this gadget is you! (And, most likely, me too!

see i wast thinking that that would be smart on chryslers behalf, sell the vehicles with all the EVIC option installed but not activated. they did this before with the old YJs but with the fuel tank, the said bigger tank, so they made the fuel nozzle shorter so it didnt pertrude into the tank as far, thus allowing more fuel to reach the upper part of the tank due to fluid dynamics
