Has anyone taken there headliner to be wrapped in suede? I've been toying with the idea, because I really want a blacked out interior. The previous owner was a slob and there are greasy prints all over the roof like it was his/her personal napkin.
I went to a local guy today, and he wanted $700 and I walked away. I'm looking for opinions on how DIY this really is. I'm comfortable with taking apart the car, and am aware I'd need atleast 2 more sets of hands.
I know most suede comes in rolls 58 inches wide, and our headliner is about 53-54 following the curvature. And I'll need about 3 1/4 yards to have enough from front to back, but I would buy more as I may wrap the panels.
My questions:
How hard is it to DIY suede wrap a headliner?
Is there a material I need to be looking for specifically?
Will the 3M 90 glue hold well enough?
