I talked to my big bro about Meguiars this afternoon and their quality products; he really enjoyed a very informative demo they gave last weekend.

He also said that they have an awesome buffer available with a lifetime warranty... (I know this is an Interior board, but if you're interested in making your outside shine too, you should check out that buffer. It costs more through Meguiars rather than getting it from Ebay, but it's because of the lifetime warranty.)

:D

I use a damp cloth... I can't stand the shine of ArmourAll on the dash components. Makes me feel like I'm driving a car from the 1980's all over again.

I own that buffer and it is a great piece actually you can but it form any porter cable dealer for less...

I've used Aerospace 303 for years with good results. Less shine than Armor All, works well for tire sidewalls (no discoloration), has UV inhibitors and does not contain silicones so is safe for under-hood use.

I've been happy with Meguiar's products also but have not tried their plastic/rubber care products yet.

I've got a horror story with Armoral. My mom had bought an 86' Buick Century Limited (or was it unlimited oh well who cares) anyways it had the vinyl top. She used armoral and with in a few months, the vinyl started cracking and peeling. Well she had to have a new vinyl top put on her new car. She thought she could use it but found out differently. I've always been leary of armoral ever since. I have used it. I use the clean up wipes in the purple canister. I'm thinking it's time to use something else on the Jeep and the Nissan.

Did you get it with the lifetime warranty? Mike said that the cost is higher through Meguiars because of the lifetime warranty. :)

Yes i bought mine from megauirs so it says meguiars on it but i found out you can buy it from porter cable with a 3 year warranty.

NOO! ArmorAll nooo!
Better try Valucraft protectant for rubber, plastic & vinyl. Odorless and matte finishing (less shiny than the ArmorAll).
Read the instructions (smearing may occur if you apply it on or near clear plastic, glass or plexi)

I have been using armorall on the jeep steady since I got it. I like the shine. I have never heard of a problem with armorall before and I hope I never have one either.

NO !

I like it on tires, however when it comes to the interior a damp cloth has always done the trick for me.

If you use any product on the plastic interior it will likely attract more dust and make an ugly mess.

One thing that helps is the interior heater/air conditioning filter. It does a great job of keeping dust out. It comes standard on the Limited and Offroad Group.

.

303 works the best on all rubber it has uv inhibitor and protects not only shines.

I use the Eagle 1 Nano on the seats, and just a plain microfiber cloth to dust off the dash and console. Ive had nothing but problems with armorall. Makes everything stick and turns the dust into crust.

Whatever you use (and I recommend using something vs. nothing), make sure it is low gloss. Armor All is water-based now and is fine. i prefer 303 Aerospace Protectant as well. It's a little pricey, unless you buy a gallon of it. I don't recomemnd it for exterior trim/tires, though. Being water based, it runs onto the paint/wheels when it rains.
