I think that my Pat is missing the North Badge.

I have a 2008 Pat, 4x2 FWD, base was $16,995 + options.
They Vehicle Purchase Agreement shows that I have 26E Customer Preferred Package, I am pretty sure that includes the North Edition Badge.
Am I mistaken?

Mine was delivered Oct 30th and was missing the North Badge. I went to the dealer and they checked the VIN and then ordered the badges for me. They came in a week and I now have them on. I do not remember the package number for the North Edition but with your VIN it can be easily checked.

Yes you should have two Patriot North Badges if it was purchased in Canada. Many who missed receiving the badges simply went back to their dealer and had them ordered free of charge. See details below:

In Canada there are three levels of Patriot- Sport, North and Limited

In USA there are two - Sport and Limited.

We like to think we are special by having the North model- some cynics say that this is a meaningless thing= but we are proud of our North badges

The part number is 05113554AA.

Thank you for inforamtion and part number. Yesterday I picked up my Pat with 24E package option, and both badges where displayed on the front doors.
I had the part number handy just in case the badges were missing to have the dealer order them for me.
I was glad that was not the case.

This is a great forum; you can learn a lot.

Thanks guys!

So, is it just a badge designating it was sold in Canada?? I was thinking it might have had a engine block heater in it or some other option in it or something??

Anyway, I am closer to the border than you realize. About 120 miles or so. There are a lot of Canadian plated vehicles around here and sooner or later I will surely see one and wonder what it is all about.

No not really. The Patriot North has a mix of features that place it between the Sport and the Limited. (i.e. it has many of the Limited features)

And yes, it has the special metal badge on each door !

hey 'charlimc'....whats "Scanguage"? you have it listed as a option on your 'North' model.

funny, you (Canadians) get a "North" badge on your 26E Packaged model and we get nothing....not even a 'Sport' badge. damned "North"erners....;)

Scanguage is not a factory option- It is a small computer that connects with the OBDII port on the Patriot and it displays data in real time such as Fuel consumption, horsepower , distance to empty etc etc. If you google on scanguage you can get the details- I find it a great thing since I do not have the EVIC option on my Patriot. It cost me about 160 and it took 5 minutes to hook up and configure- I placed it in the cubby hole just under the radio. You can even set the display colour to match the instrument panel

I have one of those and it is great. Anyway, I almost didn't buy it because I thought it was too expensive. But when I thought about it, you can put it in almost any vehicle, and it will also read and clear codes.

BTT........There should be a "South of the Border" badge too then. Now everybody elce will be jealous.......Oh, and I didn't know I was a "southerner" until now........:D

In Saint John NB they told me last month that they sold for 68 each. Price must have gone up!

This is what found on the North Edition:

From - - - http://www.canadiandriver.com/testdrives/08patriot.htm

The Patriot North 4X2 ($19,595) adds a 'North' badge, air conditioning, stain-resistant YES Essentials seat fabric, dark-tint rear and rear-side windows, assist handles, power locks with keyless remote, power fold-away mirrors, power windows including driver's one-touch down window, removable and rechargeable flashlight, power mirrors, 115-volt power outlet, reclining 60/40 split folding rear seat, fold-flat front passenger seat, and driver's height-adjustable seat. The Patriot North 4X4, this week's test vehicle, starts at $21,595.

I live in Michigan and am getting my Pat in April... I never ever have a vehicle that looks like the rest... so i am adding the badges to mine when i get it... No dealers in the states can get them for me, so i found a dealer in Windsor that can get them from another dealer in Winnepeg... I work for a Tire store here and can get the parts from them at my cost.... 56.00 USD EA!

Just a short update... I went to the dealer last week and told them about the missing badges on my '08 North. They've ordered them form Chrysler and installed them at no charge. The part guy told me that the North edition should arrive to the dealer with the badges in the car, as if it would have to be installed by the dealer if requested by the buyer. The problem is that most of the time, Chrysler don't send the badges in the car...

Just be aware and ask 'em!

Later,

Lewis

I have the Patriot North 4x4 manual transmission and it made the list. I submitted in December, and received confirmation that they received my submission.....but no word back on when I get my cheque.
