Uconnect?

What is it? Is that just Bluetooth? My window sticker says Uconnect(r) 130 cd/mp3, but I don't have Bluetooth.

This may be a dumb question, but I can't stream music wirelessly or store music or anything right? Is there an option to that won't cost an arm and a leg?

It's a hands free blue tooth option for your phone. Has some features built in like its own directory, voice dialing, etc. Works great--phone calls thru your car radio speakers. I have it and it's great--and you can have it connect to several phones, altho you do have to establish a priority for each--a modern day techno pecking order!

uConnect is the brand of radio its uConnect w/ hands free that gives you bt.

Edit: uconnect with voice command per jeep's website is what gives you bluetooth.

The 130s do not include BT. the 230/430s and the nav system ones do include it. If you want an easy aftermarket solution, I recommend this guy... [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Technology-BlueTrip-iPhone-Smartphones/dp/B004KPLS7K[/ame]

Plugs into your cigarette lighter and then the aux plug goies into your head unit. I have friends with these and they seem to work pretty well.

I have the 130, so had the MoPar unit installed by the dealer. Works great, except that my "smartphone" is not one of the compatible ones, thus I had to enter 11 numbers by hand. Now it works fine.

The 130s can have bluetooth, mine does and it works great. It streams music great. If your window sticker has this under optional equipment you have it:

Uconnect(R) Voice Command with Bluetooth(R) Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror w/ Microphone Remote USB Port SiriusXM Satellite Radio w/ 1-Yr Radio Subscription. It was $475 more.
