I'd most likely use MDF for the box itself, fiberglass, and cardboard for the physical model.

Just trying to dig up some ideas, which of these do you guys like better? I love them both, but the glass in the second one would kill the price. I like how the first one uses accents, so I'd probably do something like the black/grey interior of the car, with silver accents.

I cant see the first one on my work computer because it's an imageshak one :( but man, thats a lot of work! You think you can do that without professional tools? Plus with our gear selector being being where you want to put the sub, that'd be kinda hard don't you think?

I think I could do it without professional tools. It would just take time. I'd be moving the sub back a little, probably starting the box right after the gear select.
@MB the accents matched the outside of his car supposedly. I'm looking more for the styling of them. This weekend I might run out to a friend of a friends shop and see what he thinks work wise the second one would take.

Re: Creation's Build Thread (Mild)

I'm trying to draw this out, but my reoccuring problem is the ebrake. I don't think I can move it much if at all. Every design I try to sketch gets obliterated by the ebrake.
And I see why we have this awkward tower as our console. There's no way to make a nice arm rest without just avoiding cupholders and a ebrake.

I'm going to use this spot for my build and sort of a vent for my patriot. Someone dug something up about the euro fronts. Wow, I really want the 08 euro front. Console or Euro front?@!?@? But if I get a euro front, I'd want to lower, and get rims, and then I need tires, and I DONT HAVE MONEY! :dead_horse: I need a job. Bad. Or a get rich quick scheme.

Haha go get a Job ;) I worked at a Schlotzsky's Deli for a year and a half in high school and then another 2 years after (two different locations). In my first 4 months there I becme a Team leader (Assistant Manager more or less) and by my 1 and a half year mark I was a Training Manager (though i didn't get paid very well...) and at my 2 and a quarter or so year mark, back at the original store, I became a Manager. Granted I didn't make a ton of money but it was a hell of a lot more than when I started. What I'm trying to say is if you get a job and continue to accel at it every day people will notice and you can move on up through the ranks hella fast and make more money than you did before.

I worked at Hungry Howies for 3 years. I don't know if it was just our store or not, but progression was a nogo. There were two ranks. Staff and General Manager. The GM's salary was $30K. After a year or so, I plan to get a real job, to start working my way into engineering. But right now, school is priority.

Offtopic still but on this discussion.. School is top priority.. If worked at Eddie Bauer for 3 years and after graduation started as a teller in a bank. Now i'm working in commercial lending for the 2nd largest bank in the world. I'm only 25 and on a decent living wage. Things will come :D

My dream job would be working in Colorado for Hefty Fabworks! They make kick ass offroad armor for a lot of different vehicles and Colorado is just beautiful so that's where I'd ultimately love to be. With my Wrangler, kaity in a Patriot of her own or a Subie Crosstrek, a daughter to spoil rotten, and a good dog to take offroading with me all the time lmao

Creation's Build Thread (Mild)

After my experience with my 02 Nissan Frontier, I'll never own another Nissan again. It was of poor quality. Well, except for the Xterras cause I love them! Lol

My friends dad works at nissan, they are a nissan family. They haven't encountered any problems, but I'm sure there time will come. Most likely they'll get traded in before anything happens though. Its sad though, they can't do anything to their cars because they get flipped so often. Sales are down boys, trade all your families cars!

It all depends on the type of education as well, I only have a two year degree, but I have some IT certs, and I make more than the average family income, and my wife is a stay at home mom... (looking to start my own business here very soon, so hopefully my income will go up significantly over the next year or two)
