Hey guys, I finally found time to put the lift on my Riot. I still have the stock, tires and rim in the Jeep, but thought you all would like to see some pics.

@the dealership this morning waiting to get my alignment, My Riot is across from an 08 Compass

Another pic @ the dealer you can see the Riot next to a Liberty

The next two pics give you a good idea of the difference with the lift
first my Riot stock

and second my Riot lifted(sorry about the quality the pic is at night and taken with my cell phone)

Overall I am very happy with the lift, it hasn't changed to drive at all and it looks great, I just can't wait till I can afford some new tires for my Riot.
Enjoy!!, & comments welcome:)
PS let me know if you guys can see the pics, I'm at work and looks like the pics are being blocked by my proxy.

OKay pics should be working now

Very nice. How much of a lift did you do? How much was the kit and installation if you did it at the dealership? This is my first jeep so does anyone know how/if these types of modifications can affect the lifetime warranty (powettrain and I got the extended lifetime warranty)?

Its a 2.25" lift kit from Rocky-Road

I got the kit on sale for $285.00 but I think its back up to $329.00,
No install cost here, I installed it at my father's shop(he owns an AAMCO Transmissions franchise)
Its at the dealer getting an alignment right now, I'll get it back around lunch time. Its funny because the guys at the dealership swarmed around it because they haven't seen one lifted yet.

According to the manufacture if the lift, they have designed the lift not to void the warranty, however it is ultimately up to the dealer's discretion.

Did you need any camber kits for the alignment?
No the dealership was able to get it alligned with in specs with out a camber kit

May be a silly question but...: why did you lift it?
I lifted my Riot because I was personally unsatified with the stock look of it. I felt it was too much car not enough jeep. Even with out new tires I really like the look better. I just can't wait to be able to put larger tires on it, looking at the 245/65R17 Tires that were posted in a previous thread.

I have a history with Jeeps and was big into 4wheeling at one time, but now I wanted to Jeep to drive comfortably, and put around town, but also have something that can handle to the 4x4 trail up to my uncles cabin in upstate PA, stock I just think it is too low..

Hi CJs07RIOT, thanks for posting your pics . I also have an '07 FDII, and agree that, even with additional 1" from the factory, it does not have enough clearance. So I am interested in the 2.25" lift kit.

Have you measured your actual ground clearance after installing the lift kit?

Looks real nice. Thanks for the pics. Happy New Year. :)
