CVT after 2014?

Ooohh, I don't know, replace it perhaps?

Just because no new cars of a particular model are coming off the line with a particular part does not mean that part immediately becomes unavailable. You can still get transmission parts for cars that ceased production fifty years ago.

The cvt is the same that is used in a lot of nissan, suzuki, honda, and other cars. Jeep has its own software for it, so yes, part availability should not be an issue. This is not a jeep designed transmission, but an off the shelf unit from Jatco:

But--wouldn't it be interesting if they swap it out for the new 6 speed auto??!!
