I am looking for some black door lock stems. Where can I find them? I have looked on the web from Google search and could not find any.

You could unscrew them and plasti dip them. I've been looking, too. I guess those are becoming an outdated item.

That's strange. I've had mine done since June with only one touch up. Ah well. Good luck with your search. Let me know if you find any.

Anyone try AutoZone, Advance Auto or O'Reilly?
Around here they all sell door lock knobs. I recall some bullet shaped and some with skulls, diamond bling type, machined look etc....
Get the vender off the packages and google them. Bet you can special order them or Internet sales.

If I remember correctly, you can't just unscrew these knob posts and screw on new ones. The plastic knob flares out at the bottom and attaches to a metal rod. I am not 100% sure, but I think they are attached permanetly to that metal rod. Either way, the factory knobs have to be removed by removing the door panels and replacing them from the inside. The reason I know this is because I broke one of my knobs, and had to purchase a new one. I couldn't believe the price when I went to the dealer to get one. Here is a parts list diagram showing that part. It is #24 (part # 1DF66DX9AA for the right and # 1DF67DX9AA for the left). I added a rectangle around the part with an arrow pointing to it:

Here's a link to the pic in one of my albums. Not sure which one will show up larger/better:

It's not a great drawing of the part. I will take a picture of the actual part I purchased later tonight when I get home and post it here. Of course, my part was for my 2008 Sport with manual locks. Not sure if you have manual or automatic door locks, or whether they changed anything between 2008 and 2010.

On my doors (manual locks 08) the stem is attached to a rod, which snakes around to the mechanism. I don't think its an aftermarket part. The chrome layer on mine are begin to separate. Something will need to be done.

In any event the knobs whether they be power locks or manual attach to the lack the the way. With a rod.
How they attach to the rod is either pressed on (injection molded) in which case they are damaged coming off and difficult to find aftermarket replacements or they unscrew.
I'm not planning on replacing mine but I would be curious to know how they are made.

Here are the pics of the lock knob part I promised:

After looking at it, I can't tell if it screws off, or is glued, or what. Once I get this one installed, I will try to check by testing the old one. I am afraid that I will break this one if I tried to test it. It may be a few weeks before I have time to get to it, though.

Ya know, as I was taking a pic of the part, it occured that you could make a threaded stem by buying a piece of threaded rod the size that would fit the thread-on lock knobs that you want, and putting it in a vise and making that "L" bend in it. Then you could use whatever type of lock knob you wanted as long as they were the same thread. The only thing I am unsure of is what would hold this piece in the upright position without the lock knob on it like the factory one.. I may have a better understanding of that once I get mine fixed.
