bulb type

Going to install a HID kit, with CANBUS error free ballast (variable digital control) so will remove the disco light symptoms.
Just one problem, different bulbsearch/finder sites are reporting the main headlight bulb differently. The types being reported are:

H4
H4 dual filament
H13
H13 Hi/Lo

Which is the correct one?

p.s. how the heck do I disconnect the plastic connector from the bulb , its sure hell stuck fast

H13 and I would not do the high/low - stick with the low only.

EDIT: Wrong! They are H4 - just took them out. Must be UK spec have H4. Good job i did check

I have the bulb in my hand
It is a H4
Like i said, sites report it differently and your link reports H13

Not only UK does have H4. In the Netherlands too, so I guess all the export models do have H4

Which is probally right and normal since anything exported from the US abroad has different specs than American models for no good reason. You would think it would make sense to standardize a model when they are rolling down the same production line.

i guess it's not just marketing,but different local regulations (european vs us)

I hate to tell you BUT!! US domestic headlights are not good enough to pass UK/Euro Type approval !! Hence the change of spec for export models .

as from January 2012 none type approved HID after market lights are a MOT FAIL.

We have these discussions on Uk Peugeot forums ....Coming soon ..Wrong or self installed HID's MOT fail ( High discharge may also need lamp lens washing system ) Removal of DPF ( diesel particulate filter ) MOT fail . !!
