08 Patriot Wheel Swap

Hi,

Last week I purchased an 08 Patriot 4x2. It's very basic with chrome hub caps on 16" tires (I think). Standard Jeep 5 lug.

I just saw 4 wheels for sale on CL off of a 2006 Jeep Wrangler. I would like to purchase these wheel and put them on my Patriot.

My question is, (since I still don't have a handbook) will they fit, if not, why and what is your recommendation?

The best answer would be to test fit them to know for sure. Just put one rim on preferably front and see if you can clear the brake caliper and make sure it doesn't rub against anything. If they're 16'' rims, theoretically they should fit but believe me I made similar mistake twice . Don't buy until you're certain they fit.

I can tell you that it will be very close to your brakes and inner finder well if not rubbing! those have more of a negative offset then the patriots do. the only way to be certain is to test it...it will be close though.
