Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust on my 08 2.4, any suggestions? Is there one above others I should be looking into without breaking the bank? Any help would be appreciated.:)

Lots of stuff on the site including how to do it yourself

I did a catback and improved mileage. Sounds louder than stock but not annoying.

I'm going to go with the Dynomax. There's a $75 rebate on it right now.

It's stainless steel and uses a "turbo" muffler, so it should be pretty quiet, and shouldn't change the sound too much.

There are a couple exhaust systems available and they all have the same parts. Perfomance will be pretty much the same with all, so it all sound preference.

they all have:
1. 2.25 tubing after cat
2. muffler

If none of the above, you could custom your own exhaust like some of the others here. you just have to search the forum for examples

Hey Gann, if you like playing, you could direct swap the muffler that comes with the kit for a Dynomax VT muffler. This way you get the "Valve Technology" that keeps it quiet on cruise while adding some note/tone on song.

My exhaust just shipped today... and won't be here for a week UGH! I'll probably install it the day I get it.

I love playing, but as long as the Dynomax sounds decent (not like a rice rocket) I'll likely leave as is. Franklly I don't expect much power from the Patriot, it's just that I have a personal manifesto that eveything I own has to have "pipes". :D

Waiting a week for an exhaust will seem like an eternity for me, I've been plugging away in the meantime.

Today I debadged my Patriot and also bought my new wheels/tires and had them installed.

I'm SUPER happy with the results. The wheels really made a huge impact on how it looks. I'll get some pics and post them in the wheels/suspension forum tomorrow.
