Hello Forum,
Have spent many hours searching and looking for info in here already. All I can say is this is an awesome place to be!!! I just ordered a 2012 Patriot Sport, true blue pearl, 5spd, power value group, block heater.....and was hoping to get dealer installed leather heated seats and/or lift kit and/or metal front/rear bumpers..but....I'm finding the options I want may not be something the dealer can do. So.....I'll just have to purchase and install them myself after I get the Pat. :) So far I have found this site to be very informative about everything I have had questions on....dealer warranty, lift kits, Pat repairs, etc. Just wanted to say hello and a big THANKS!! to everyone that has contributed information. My Pat should arrive, I'm told, in about 3 months...hopefully sooner.

Welcome.
This place is great, eh?

I've only been here a month and I'm already an expert!

(Seriously, info from here has floored the service writer at the dealership. "I did not know you could do that!" is often heard from him.) (well, I've only been twice but got him both times, thanks to here. ECU re-set and hub rust issue)

Its a great little 7/8th scale CUV. Very capable, good in snow.

3 months! You have to wait fro spring thaw?

I just got my 2012 this week, ordered it the week after Christmas, but they where on shut down between Christmas and New Years day. Mine is also a 5spd FD1 with the Power Value Group and block heater. Just had the 3M nose cover installed today and parked it in the garage next to the wifes Liberty

Spring thaw....hey, I didn't think about that. LOL
Well I think it takes a week or so for it to get into the system to be built and I was told it will take 3 to 4 weeks to get shipped up here so there's a month and a half of not knowing how long it really gonna take....I guess. On the good side if Jeep comes out with a better incentive I get to choose which one I want once it shows up. :)

Moparguy.....sounds like our tastes are similar. My current 'stable' of running vehicles are 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees, one Dodge PU 4x4, and one Dodge Durango. Jeep and Dodge all the way!!!

Hmmm.....starting to get concerned about my order

Well, I was told that it takes about a week and a half for the order to be accepted with a build date.....so far the order apparently still hasn't been accepted. So...if it still hasn't been accepted yet and I was told it would be up to 3 months....this is getting to become a very long process. Of course another concern is they aren't taking more orders??? Hmmm. Stressing a bit. :(

When I ordered mine, Murman and Jeep9 ordered theirs about a week after I did, but their orders got in quicker and they got their Jeeps sooner. My best guess is that sincemine is a FDII and not as common, maybe they were waiting to fit in in the line. I am not sure, but in the end a couple weeks made little difference and I got what I wanted. It still took no more than 8 weeks

Soon....very soon!!

Well I am told it will be here before the end of this month!! Yeah!!! This has certainly taken longer then I planned....but I think it was a good thing. It gave me lots of time to think about what options I wanted the dealer to install and which I wanted to either do myself or purchase someplace other then the dealer. So....hopefully an update with at pic before the end of this month. :)

welcome to the forum PATAK12! I couldn't imagine all the anticipation on ordering a new jeep and having to wait for it! luckily when I purchased mine they had about 23 of them and one just happened to be precisely the one I wanted. who knows you could get the call tomorrow, the wait will be well worth it!

Did you order a 2011 or a 2012?

Our orders are almost identical! I ordered mine 03/10/12, has been built and it's on a railcar right now.

Just as an FYI the VOTS website doesn't always work, mine still says scheduled for production but after calling the 800 number i was told it was already built and on its way.

Thank you for this info, my VOTS website still says scheduled for production. But after reading you said its not always accurate I went ahead and called the 800 number and it turns out my riot is already built and going on a railcar on 4/22/12  thanks again :beerchug:

2011 or 2012....

I ordered a 2012. :) Apparently part of the hang up was I wanted the power convenience option but didn't want air conditioning..(I live in Alaska and air conditioning isn't high on my priorities).. Placing the order they had a air conditioning bypass but Jeep apparently had a change that even though it allowed me to order it that way at the time they wouldn't accept the order....so it sat there for about 3 weeks until the dealer got that figured out...so, I ended up with air conditioning at no charge. :D Hopefully it will be here this next week and then they have a couple of options to install before I take delivery. :pepper:

Awesome! Congratulations on your purchase.. I don't think I'd be able to wait to get my Patriot. I traveled 200 miles to go pick up the exact Patriot I wanted.

I didn't know many manufacturers built cars without A/C. After going a week during a South Carolina summer when my A/C wasn't working was tough.

Picked up my new Patriot from the dealer!!!

My Patriot has finally arrived. The dealer put on a couple accessories and I drove it home for the first time on 5-7-12!! :pepper:

I am jazzed to say the least!! It was well worth the wait.

Yup, small/entry-level cars still have optional A/C, whereas bigger models (Dodge Avenger, Jeep Liberty) have standard A/C. I suppose some fleet sales are non-A/C, manual trans Calibers, Patriots, etc. I believe even the base model of the new Dart may not come with standard A/C.
