I haven't posted in a while, and thought I would today!

My 2007 Patriot was leaking fluid, a purple liquid, (yes it was purple.... I thought it was odd also). Took it to my mechanic friend and he said it was the transfer case fluid. They replaced the "transfer lines" on it and put in new oil.

It got me thinking, how are all of the 2007 models holding up to everyone that has one? Mine so far has been great. I bought it brand new in 2007, and currently have 99,000 miles on it. I have replaced all 4 tires, (which I surprisingly got 94,000 miles out of), I have only had to replace the brakes and rotors once, (I got 90,000 out of those). I had a 100,000 mile tune-up done at 94,000 miles, I drive 80 miles a day to work, 5 days a week, putting at the least, 1600 miles on it a month.

Aside from having to replace 4 headlight bulbs, (and currently I have a fog lamp out), and the initial 4 Electronic Throttle Body replacements , my Pat is doing wonderful, I couldn't be happier with it. I'm hoping that this will last me another 100,000 miles.

So I was wondering, as I said before, I would be interested in hearing what all the 2007 owners have to say about their Pats??

My 07 has 105k miles and is doing good.
I am still not used to the cvt. But that's just me.
I may have missed something but here it goes
Early on 20k miles bad tranny fluid, new fluid fixed the prob.
Ball joints,
New alternator
New starter
Really wished they didn't bury the alt/starter where they did.
Currently have an electrical glitcH
Radio pops and shuts off after 15 mins of use,
Like blowing a fuse, may be a bad relay somewhere.
Have tried to do regular oil changes but have gone as long as 15k miles between some changes.
Hoping for another 100k miles out of it

Nice! I forgot I also had my front ball joints replaced also when I had my tires or brakes done. Other than those things, it's been great! Your jeep has been through a little more than mine it seems, but as they say, jeeps should last a lifetime!

2007 Limited 4x4
38K miles - lots of city driving and idling.
replaced battery, spark plugs, sway bar bushings, driver side outer tie-rod, ball joints

still on original tires, but will change them next fall before winter

very happy so far, almost 5 years old

I have a 2007 sport with a little over 50k, and bought it used about three years ago and i have not spent any money on repairs except for a battery. I've only put about 15k miles on it since i bought it (got the car at 16 and am now in college). I hope it lasts at least another five years as it has the last three. The lack of repair bills has been a big help since I'm in college and don't have a steady income or any currently.

Transfer Lines? On the PTO? Huh?

Almost 50,000.00 miles on it now. Parts replaced under warranty:
-Head unit, played cds, and the radio, but the screen always showed an error code.
-rear differential leaked all the fluid and sized the bearings.
-power steering lines exploded.
-CVT lost most of it's fluid. No idea were it went, but it was 3 quarts low. (no visable leaks or puddles in the driveway)
-Computer has had to be re-set a few times. TPS and ESS warning lights on, but no problems with the drive-ability with it.
-Mysterious clunking from the front end. The repair shops changed the struts 2X under warrenty, but still the noise is there. (recently found out I should check the ball joints and control arms.)

I will re-post this from another thread I responded to since this 2007 specific ...

I have a 2007 with 120,000 miles on it. I like the vehicle a lot and I like the steady 27 mpg. It used to get better prior to Ethanol (28-30 mpg). The other issue with Ethanol is that I started having idling problems that SEEM to be intermittent with fill-ups. I can go months without issues, fill-up and have problems within minutes and then for weeks. Not really sure what is going on there. I should have it looked at, but I know solving these mystery problems can be worse than original problem.

Issues/problems:

1. Replaced left lower control arm with ball joint, all 4 struts and tyres (third set) @ 109K.

2. Sometimes stalls at idle. RPM becomes a little erratic and slowly begins to reduce to where it will stall. Of course this really detracts from completely enjoying this vehicle.

3. Replaced gas cap.

4. Replaced battery.

just front end issues like 90 percent of the people here new tie rods ball joints sway bar bushings and battery other than that no other problems amd I beat the hell out of my jeep getting firewood during the summer up in the woods
