looks great, how long did it take? did you have to remove the molding, or were you able to just tape it off?

Very nice! Have you considered plasti-dipping the bottom end of the doors? Might be a cool pseudo-2011 look

Yep, that's the great thing about the plasti dip. It's durable, looks like (is) plastic, etc. You can just take it off when you want to try something new! I will eventually hit the 2011 look and i'll make sure to post pics when I do.

:DThanks! The wheels took about 3-4 hours (only because I had to do it on 2 separate occasions). The exhaust and muffler took about 1 1/2 hrs, had to make a couple coats so you couldn't see the steel silver. The front/rear and moldings were about 2 hours. I just taped it off. I made sure to tuck the tape in as much as I could on the moldings. They come out really clean. The bumpers are tougher, the plasti-dip wants to stick, so you have score with a razor blade carefully. It's worth the time though. :smiley_thumbs_up:

looks nice, looks different.

maybe the rims... mmm... I like in dark gray with silver accents like my rims, Im not fan of blacked rims, but your jeep looks clean and cool , congrats!!!

Thanks guys! Patriot Fan-Is your riot orange as well?
Hi!!

nope my friend, is inferno red, but sometimes in pictures looks like orange and the orange looks like inferno red :D

I love both colors :D

Looks great, only thing is the original black plastic strip above the rear bumper looks faded...maybe you should do it too.

I think I'm going to do something similar as a test to see how my Jeep looks with some black trim. Don't know how it will look with the sandstone color with silver accents though.

How do you think it compares to a rhino lining type product? Also, did you use the spray on or the paint on plasti-dip?

I love both colors also!

Yeah the rear bumper has taken some sun damage. I'm actually looking at replacing it when possible. The plasti-dip was spray. I believe you can get different colors as well if you purchase from the company vs home depot/lowe's. Its pretty durable. You can also paint over it if you want to go with say a gunmetal or something like that. Since the plasti-dip is your primer it will peal off! This may be my next project when I decide to change the black.

Also, how do you like your K&N Air Intake?

I think I'd want black since my reason for using it is to keep my original paint from getting scratched up on the trails. Plus, matching the tan would be a bitch and if I used silver that would be too much silver accent. I've photoshopped some pics of my Patriot with different black trim and it looks pretty good, just have to find some time to do it.

As far as the K&N, I just got the rectangular replacement. Didn't notice a significant improvement in mileage, but I like that I don't have just a crappy paper filter there anymore.

looks good man. I agree with link3721 though. You should totally paint the black plastic trim on your rear bumper.
