My 2011 is equipped with factory remote start. Today was the 4th confirmed instance of this happening: When I use the remote start and open the passenger side door, the fan is on full blast with the fan switch in the off position. When I either turn the switch on or open the driver side door, the fan turns off. It is also blowing at the windshield/defrost setting versus where it is set (bi-level, floor, etc.). This does not happen each time I use the remote start and I have not added any electronic accessories. My Pat does not have the automatic environmental controls but does have EVIC.
At first, in the winter, I thought it had to do with the outside temperature and the auto fan/defrost was a automatic function/kind of a cool feature of the remote start. Today it was 79 degrees out so now I'm really worried I have a wiring/electronic issue. I've contacted the dealer and Chrysler but they're clueless. I always shut off fan and radio prior to shutting off my Pat. I'm an electronics savvy guy and wish I could isolate what causes it to happen. Any tips/advice much appreciated.
