Brittany,

It is the basket I purchased. The fairing is an additional cost.

Is your PAT on a transport ship?

Thanks, Ill be purchasing that here soon as well!
I have been able to check the status of my vehicle's location online. For about 2 weeks now, It has been saying that it is enroute to destination in possession by the ocean carrier! So its gotta be in Germany now or at least very close and they have yet to update the system. Dang, it seems impossible to wait. ha!
So how is the wind noice with that on top of your car? We got the autobahn over here, I know my patriot is no BMW so I'll stay over in the slow lane, or the middle!!! lol

Also, I saw a post about the basket not fitting right because of the round knobs on the cross rails? How exactly did you fix that? I hope its not too confusing for me! : )

I like the Thule brand but there is no way I will pay that much money, ever!! So the one that you have is the only other one i like.

The basket does increase the noise level in the cabin. To me, it sounds no worse than the tire noise and starts around 60MPH. I used M-6 X 40 machine bolts w/washers to replace the knob/fastener setup. I will take a pic someday. It was easy.

I had to tinker w/ the Ultra_Gauge to get it to auto wake-up. All is well.

The OCI Just went on at 9,382. I reset it. The oil was last changed at 5,865 (6,000 miles). So that interval was appx 3,500 miles. I will change the oil at 12,000 miles and reset the OCI again.

I removed the roof basket fairing and fairing mouting bar. I will see how that effects wind noise and MPG.

After four months, the PAT just went over 10K miles.

After tracking over 8,400 miles of fuel usage, my average MPG is 25.0, average fuel cost per mile is $.151.

I put the fairing back on the roof basket. I don't think if helps/hinders MPG or wind noise much.

I am going to disconnect the battery and see if that will take care of the intermittent problem of not being able to enable the cruise control. I do not want to take it to the shop unless there is a hard failure.

The blister on the door panel went down after the interior cooled down.

The next "project" is to get the winter tire/rim/TPMS package put together. Depending on the daily high temperature (< 45*F), I may be able to install the winter tire set at 12,000 miles. That is when the summer tires are due for rotation.

I'm at almost 9k miles on mine. Now since I've driven with the fairing on I can tell it doesn't affect MPG but it does affect the wind noise. I was able to tell that right away as soon as I put it on and took it on a freeway.

I'd like to replace Pat's stock horn with a two-tone one and possibly getting some door sill guards.

Lassen Peak - 10,451 feet
...

Nice. The last time I've heard the trail was getting fixed so just make sure it's open. I don't remember if you've done it before or not. It is very beautiful and the round trip should be approx 4-5 hours if I remember correctly. Shots from the last trip from the summit. Have fun and be safe!
