I want to remove the center headrest in the backseat because it blocks me the vision backwards and its no necessary for me
I pulled it up but is stuck

Could you send a pic? South American Patriots must be built different, because up here the headrest is built into the seat as one unit, and there is only 2.

OK tomorrow I´ll take a pic and send it as soon as possible thanks

I'm really curious as well. IN the US, there is no center head rest and the ones on the rear seat would require a saw to remove.

Or, as an absolute LAST resort, you could fold down the seat....

looking from the boot, towards the front, where the left headrest pole goes into the seat is a small button that forms part of the circular plastic surround, just feel around the plastic bit while trying to squeeze inwards, when you find it it'll be obvious - well that's on a 2008 riot

harold is correct. there is a extra thingy that you have to push then it will come out easily....mind you first time you do it if its tight beware, nearly punched myself when it released:)

In the BACKSEAT? You guys have an adjustable/removable headrest in the BACKSEAT? And there are 3?

I have removable rear headrests in my Tracker too, and I removed those the day I got it, wrapped them in plastic wrap, and they've been in a box since then, 8 years now. You have to remove those to fold down the back seat, and my seats have been folded down, except for maybe 2-3 times, since I got the vehicle.

Same with my Patriot, although no need to remove rear headrests, the rear seats have been folded down since day one.

Let us know how it goes for you removing those headrests, and maybe a photo or two would be nice for those of us without the removable head rests, just so we can understand what you're talking about.

You know, I would probably do that if the back of the seat were one piece I could control from the driver's side. With the split seat, that doesn't work for me. I'd be flipping them up and down twice a day. It would just be better if vehicle manufacturers took sight lines more seriously when making cars. Ever sit in a Wagoneer? There is a car with good visibility!

Wow that's weird! Google image'd "Jeep Patriot Trunk" and there's a pic with a small center headrest!
I thought all the export vehicles were the same. Mine does not have it!

Easy --I did this on my UK Pat, ( & Caliber & Avenger ) Just press down the Lock Tab & lift right out!!

Thanks for the pics! That is TOTALLY different than my 2011.

Dont forget there are a number of differences between the domestic US version & the Export version ....Seats , Bumpers , DRL's . marker lights etc ...

And here I thought all they did was install the seats and pedals on the wrong side....
