I have one black 2007 sport model (4x4) a couple of years. I just bought mopar's cross bars (p/n 82210804- the new model without the pin security system) . I did the installation myself. I assembled the front crossrail at the 2nd position from front and the rear one at the 7th position from front.

My problem is when I am trying to fully tight knobs, roof rail rises (some millimiters). In the pic you can see the gap.

I wan't to know if anyone has the same problem and which the solution is.

Thanks from Greece. (sorry for my language mistakes)

you have them in the wrong position.
the edge of the cross bar should be at the tip of the arrow on your roof rails.
then there is no contact as in your pic.

my rails are silver and don't have any holes (like thge ones on the grand cherokee)
i have a european pat.
they only have some marks-arrows.

Hmmm... There is a front and a rear crossbar. The front crossbar has FRONT stamped on the bottom (I think) and is wider than the rear crossbar. I have the same bars, the ones without the pin.

My roof rails do have slots, in the bottom of the roof rail, to locate the "clamp" for the crossbar.
