Hi everyone!

Just made a huge leap in time this past weekend by purchasing a brand new 2011 patriot latitude after 7 years of driving a 96 grand cherokee laredo that was purchased brand new by my family in 96 and became the family hand me down car for all to use.

I'm loving the patriot thus far with the ability for it to still feel like my old cherokee with the boxy frame, but at times I do miss the power but I needed better gas milage (my 96 ended up only getting about 16MPG tops when it was suppose to be getting about 20MPG highway and I drive daily to work with minimal stopping at around 50mph).

I think I've discovered the majority of features on the patriot but if anyone has anything to comment on, by all means please do. I just started playing with the autostick and it makes me very curious to know more...

Congrats! Wish I could have afforded the same model but I did get a FDII off-road group with power accessories!

Hope you enjoy it. The 2011's are nice rides!
it is nice. wasnt too much in price difference from what i had seen with adding on all the power options. but got a great deal with the one i got and it even had an upgraded stereo of the 430, gotta love the 30gb hard drive for my music!

Welcome, and good choice. I love the look of the Cherokee, and I love how much easier it is for passengers to get in and out of the Patriot. The MPG is a plus

agreed. the patriot is like a smaller cherokee. i always felt i was jumping into my cherokee since im a short guy. this just feels so natural now and almost like a scion suv kind of look. i love it.

Congrats on the new Patriot Jason and welcome to the forum. What color did you select?
i went with blackberry. i was looking for black or dark charcoal, but the only dealer with patriot lattitude on their lot had blackberry as the darkest color (only other options would have been white or metallic silver) and the color intrigued me with how it has both black tones in low light but bluish in direct sunlight.

if my cherokee wasnt breaking down so much i would have waited for a delivery for black but every week something kept going wrong. it was time before it completely died
