I really liked my 2008 and never had issues with ball joints, water leaks, etc... With it being the end of the month my dealer made me an offer I could not refuse for a new 2011 because I only had 30K on the old one and they needed mine for resell.

I have to say the same thing that others who upgraded from 2007/2008 have said about going to a 2011. Smoother ride and accelaration, nicer interior, etc.. Here is a pic of my old silver 2008 next to my new mineral gray 2011. It stands about 2 inches higher.

I do prefer the rims from the 2008 a lot more. I actually really like the plain black rim that came with my full size spare (tow prep group) in the 2008. Does anyone know what mfg that is or where to get them?

Congrats on the upgrade! They both look great. Don't mind me asking but how much did they offer you for your '08?
No problem... they gave me 16,500 and I still owed 14,500. The bluebook value was about 15-15,500 which doesn't seem to mean a thing to most dealers these days. I got one of those flyers in the mail stating they were offering up to 20% above blue book value.

Wow that's pretty good. Usually dealers would offer much less than KBB value. That's good that you didn't end up upside-down on your loan.

Congratulations on the new Patriot. Give us a first hand assessment on the difference between the two once you get a chance to drive it a little bit. And include some photos. Good luck with the new Patriot.

Ya know Dixie, I went out to VA for my "killer" deal... maybe you'll have to make a trip out here to Handyman98's dealership and try getting BB off them? :D
