I hit 10,000 miles this morning and gave my baby it's 3rd oil/filter change. 1st at 500 with conventional oil, then Mobil 1 at 5,000 and now 10,000. I have had no issues so far and am very pleased with my first Jeep.

I just turned 8,200 yesterday. got my 2nd oil change and tire rotations yesterday as well. No issues to report

Someone on here said that they had like 15000 or so miles on one!! I dont know what post it was! I thought it was in like a 6month time to!!
As long as you follow the recommended change interval listed in the owners manual you can not void the warranty by using a particular brand of oil.

Yes,congratulations but let's wait untill at least 100 000 miles and then we may start to be optimistic,good quality cars do easily over 250 000 miles but that's of course a VERY GOOD QUALITY,we are not talking about Russian Ladas or Chrysler K cars here.

I priced mine out at Edmunds.com. I'm looking at $20,800 I paid $24,500 after taxes. Retail dealer sale would be $22,000. I'm confident I'd be able to get at least $21,500 if I sold today!

Does anyone know what is all needed at 12,000 mile mark besides the oil change/tire rotation?

I'm not so sure, an air filter change is really necessary at 12k, maybe cleaning it out a bit would be all thats necessary.
I'll have to give mine a look-see! I've been so busy lately, I've hardly had the time to check that! Not to mention, I've got to give the car its pre-winter cleaning!

I was debating changing mine at 500, but the owners manual says it has some super high quality oil for break in and isnt needed until 3000, right now Im at 1400.

I am on the precipice of 13K miles after 5 months of ownership on account of my work commute. I change my oil at 4K intervals using Mobil 1 and a Purolator filter. I have had zero problems to date with anything. Yesterday I changed the oil, adjusted some of the play from my "flapping hood" and gave it a bath and vacuum.
