I need to get new rubber on my 09' Patriot. I have the stock 16" wheels on it. Still has stock 205 tires. It is 4x4 model. I found a great deal $65 per tire free mount on the same tires I have on my sidekick. I like the tires. The tires offered in the special are 215/60/16 or 235/60/16. Does anyone know if these would work? Any pic of this size? I don't want them too look wimpy. Or for $20 more per tire I can run 225/70/16. That was what I was originaly looking at.
Thanks-
Katie

on the stock 16" rims (6.5" wide), I'd definitely go 225/70-16. 235 might end up being too wide for the rims.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html to compare the sizes.

225/70-16 is only 10 mm wider than the stock 17" Goodyear SRA's, and only 0.4" taller. They'd be perfect for that "not wimpy" look.

just remember you need 5 tires (spare) if you're changing the size dramatically.

What's the size of the stock 205/xx-16 tires? The 235/60-16's may be the solution to not needing a new spare tire since they're 27.1" and I think the stock tires are also 27" diameter.

you could even go up to 235/65/17 w/o rub
