My name is April and I purchased my first Jeep (a silver 2010 Patriot) a month ago and LOVE IT. I live in Maryland and would like to start modifying slightly so if anyone knows of posts showing modified Patriots or parts for sale, let me know. I had show volkswagens for a while now and decided to move on with something more family sized and reliable with a recent marriage...hope this Jeep lasts me!

First thing most of us do is paint the muffler. I have wanted to do more, but can;t afford a lot, and am thinking of trading soon anyway. I am thinking of a roof basket though, and I could use that on the new one anyway.
I added a hood shield, and the side window vets, and chrome on the grill slots, but that's about it. There are many threads here for mods from easy ones (baskets, hitches, trim, interior stuff, etc) to more difficult mods (like lifts, bumper replacements, etc), so have a look around. The folks here are happy to share what they've done, and any tips etc.
There really are not a lot of aftermarket parts available for the Patriot like some other Jeep models.

I've had my Patriot for 3 weeks now & love it, its great fun to drive. First thing I did was black out the muffler - makes the Jeep look a thousand times better, can't recommend it enough. Next I added the OEM cross bars & today I put the Rola Roof Basket on. Next will be 2 Hella 500's mounted on the roof rack followed by Husky Liner floor mats. All reasonably inexpensive mods that really add to the look of the Pat.
