OK, well, the summer meet never happened, but am hoping we can get folks to come for a fall meet. I have found some trails through some of the State Parks, etc, but I still need to check them out. Fall is a beautiful time to be out and about in the north central PA mountains.

Before I pick a date, etc, I'd like to get an idea of who and how many are up for this meet. So please post here if you are interested in coming, and meeting some of the folks you chat with here.

Based on who's coming, what else is going on the weekend we pick, etc, I can come up with some activities.

Late September, or early October will be best for the fall foliage. I bet we can get some awesome photos.

Susquehannock, Sizerville, and Cherry Springs for the parks I'm looking into for trails, and another state forrest, and a couple game lands that have logging or fire trails. We most likely will meet in Potter County. But I'm open too. Just trying to scope out some trails, and hoping to find one or two with nice vistas for fall foliage scenes. Who knows, we might drop into the Grand Canyon too.

Just for reference, I work in Canonsburg PA, and not too far from WVA, and it's about 4 hours from here.

wish i could make it

cant make the fall,
am expecting a little passenger , you know the 6-9 lb back seat drivers type,
due in oct,
wish i could make it though,
fall is great,
as for trails, would recomend mid to western PA,
as eastern PA doesnt allow offroading except for ATV's in state forests/lands

I know Canonsburg pretty well. For Sarris Candies and summer ice hockey for youth. My younger bro played hockey up there for a few summers.

Susquehannock is 7 hours and 34 mins away roughtly, Sizerville is 6 hours and 1 min away roughtly, and Cherry Springs is 5 hours and 59 mins away roughtly. HAHA, it be a trip just getting there .

It all depends on where you go and if I get new tires. My OEM tires are starting to look bad and they are not going to make it through the winter with out being replaced. So thems the brakes.

Just keep me informed. :smiley_thumbs_up:

I work about 5 minutes from Sarris, and am even closer to the rink at Southpointe. Have lunch at Jay's sometimes when the Pens are there. Let me know if you come back this way again.

If I don't hear from many more folks soon, I'll just plan for another winter meet.

Fellow Pens Fan,

I rarely go up there anymore. Last time I was in that area I was taking my family to Chuck Cheese in bridgesville, I believe it is, about 4 months ago.

Let me know how this all pans out... a winter meet may be better for me as well... fyi

I don't appear to have a free weekend until the end of October, and even that is filling up fast... That being said, I also have $0 in my bank account so I can't really afford the gas and hotel either (if we are past camping season).

Hope it works out for whoever goes, though.

I have some free weekends between now and mid-October if we're able to make something happen by then.

OK, not much time to plan a fall meet, so unless 4-5 of you post here soon that you want to come, I'll cancel this and start to plan a winter meet. So if you're interested, let me know soon, thanks.

The are os just so beautiful in fall, winter is short days. But hell, maybe someone will bring a snowmobile, or cross country skis. There is a downhill ski are nearby too, Ski Denton, but my downhill days are over with my knees. We could do some sledding though on the hills. Maybe a campfire.

Last winter we met for lunch, had fun going up my driveway, then sat around for some drinks. I had quite a bit of bourbon and was glad I didn't have to drive anywhere. Tough to keep up with the young guys, lol.

I'll be in Potter county, and have some time this weekend, and the weekend of Oct 2nd, if anyone comes for the fall foliage and wants to hook up, just let me know.

Otherwise I guess we'll start looking at a winter meet.

If we have a meet, anyone from this forum is welcome. Would be good for someone considering a Patriot to come and talk to folks who have them, and look some over too.

Oct 2nd is no good though, my bad. I'm going to my dad's cottage to help him this weekend. I will be home again Oct 9 weekend though.

Looks like we should start planning another Winter Meet.

Pittsburgh area meet and greet

If you are looking to do a meet and greet the Pittsburgh Fiat car club is meeting on October 10th which is a Sunday. That is a bye week for the Steelers, so we figured that would be a good day.

I have a patriot and have driven it to a couple meets in the past. But I'll have my charger with me this time. All fiat models are welcome ;) You'll see everything from a dodge ram srt10 to a compass.

This is a family event ,so all are welcome. The event will be held at Dave & Busters at the Waterfront in Homestead. We chose this location because it is fairly central for our members. They have a large parking lot and can accomodate a large amount of people. We will have a meeting lunch or dinner every month until spring and we will have them in different locations so that everyone will have one close to home. Any ideas for future locations are welcome. We will eat at 2, but weather permitting we can meet in the parking lot any time after 1.

Just started another college semester, on top of work :-( can't do 10 hours of driving for 2-hour M&Gs but looking forward to a winter meet if I can plan ahead a bit. Another Jeep gorup out here has maxed out even their "standy-by" for a foliage run at GWNF. I'd like to go on that trail again with more than two people on a gray drab, colorless day like last September!
