So after 8 months of ownership, I finally purchased the mopar fog lights as my patriot did not come with them. Installation will be over $200.00 for roughly 1-1/2 hours of labor. My question is if I should install them and save a few bucks or have them install the lights. I am aware that they would have to flash the computer but not shure how much that would cost. Also, If I install the new wand will the computer not recognize other commands on the new wand such as blinkers or just the fog lights? I don't want to have do drive to the dealership without blinkers. Thanks for any help.

I was going to get my dealer to install OEM fogs on my Pat Sport.....Over here they wanted ÂŁ360.00 to supply & fit.......I told them to forget it.

So did you install them then or did you not end up ever purchasing them?

I missed them on the Pat Sport...They were a standard fit on my SXT Caliber & standard fit on my SXT Avenger. I never did get round to fitting them on the Pat.

I have them, and in my tests in the fog, turning them on is worse than just the low beams. They should be lower, or something, maybe more focused?

Looks better than empty holes I guess.

Yep it wasnt so much using the lights, it was more the empty holes annoying me!!

As I stated in my first post, I already purchased the mopar fog lights. They fit in the holes. What I needed to know is once I install them myself will all normal functions besides the fog light work? I will have to drive to the dealership and have them flash the computer to recognize the fogs and don't want to run into a situation where my blinker doesn't work or something.

I hear ya, can't stand looking at those black holes! I should have just paid to get them installed when I bought the vehicle which would have been cheaper.

I agree I wish I had the option of getting them I would have paid the xtra to get the lights and cruse control but they had none..had to go to 3 states to find my pat as it were.and then it was only 1 of 3 they had

Well, I installed the new foglights today and they look pretty good. Took me 5 hours which never should have taken that long but had some issues. First off, the cheap screws suck and stripped. Had to make a trip to Menards for some new torx screwdrivers. Also had an issue with the adapter instructions as it was backwards from what was actually the case. I had to improvise and hopefully those wires are in the right slots. Have to make an appointment to get the computer flashed to activate the lights and hopefully they work.
