Not sure about Northwest Arkansas, but in Southwest Arkansas into Oklahoma there is the Ouchita National Forest. They recently changed the designated OHV trails, so check the maps. The place is beautiful. The Talimena Scenic drive goes through there, and has lots of twists, steep grades, and valleys/scenic overlooks. I am sure the trails would be fun. I would plan on camping overnight, as it is a 3+ hour drive, depending on where you are from (It took me 10 hours to get to Talihina, drive to Mena to look at the fall foliage, then get back to Dallas! Very fun, but it was a long day)

I am from Northeast Oklahoma, and I live in Dallas now. I have been to this place a few times on the scenic drive but haven't had an SUV for the last 6 years... so I haven't had an opportunity to explore. I'll post a youtube video in the coming days that show the scenery of the byway, if you are interested
