Hello all, I was just curious about how you would rate the patriot's turning radius. I am used to driving a Ram 1500 and usually need to plan out my parking spot turns well in advance. Does the front wheel drive take away from the turning? Thanks for the replies in advance

I would rate its turning radius as good. Much better than my Odyssey (traded in for Patriot) but not as good as my little saturn.

Much better than our Nissan Frontier. Our Nissan we say it turns like a tank. With the Patriot when I get home I can make a U-turn if I plan it right, go into the neighobors drive a little and whip it around. Compared to our Nissan you can't even come close. (Live on a dead end street). It is better....

Newjeepgirl's post shows how bad my truck turned, but since it was a truck I just ran over curbs with it when doing a u-turn.

I wouldn't expect it to turn on a dime like a little sedan, but considering the length, it seems to maneuver well in tight spots.

I have to laugh at that, my dad does that all the time in his truck. Were were stuck in a drive thru and the lady infront of us would not go park where they told her too (her order was wrong) and we had our food, my dad makes a right hand turn up over the curb and the grass to get out. The boy in the drive thru window was so shocked to see that.Thanks for the input.

As far as the turning radius I think it turns really well, my boyfriend has an srt4 and it turns around much better than his car, we did circles in a parking lot last night. I thought it was going to be hard to park, we have compact parking at work and I did not have a problem with it.
I was just thinking, it is easier to park than our Nissan Frontier. I'm still getting use to how well it turns when I park. I sometimes turn like I'm in the Nissan. I know within another week or so I'll finally get use to how well it handles. Like I said earlier I can do a Uturn on the street if the one neighbor isn't parked in his driveway.
