Ok...doing my spark plugs and PCV inspection myself....

Need Help...

1. Got my NGK plain copper resistor plugs...got to my spark plugs...put the wrench on them....THEY WILL NOT BUDGE!!! Any ideas? I did do this after coming home from the auto parts so engine was hot....will it being cold make a difference???

2. Where is the PCV Valve? Someone told me by the left most spark plug...I see absolutely nothing up there to unscrew and check....Anybody got a picture of it???

Thanks for your help!

Vince

I just changed mine his morning and didn't have any issues. There was a thread where it was suggested to do this when the engine is cold so perhaps that helps.

Perhaps if you wait until later today or tomorrow morning after leaving it all night may help?

As for the PCV valve that I am not sure about.

not a subscriber to that site so I can't see a thing on it....I still don't recognize the dang PCV...

If the engine is hot let it cool off.
You will have more luck if the block is cool.

Then try some penetrating fluid. Let it sit for a few minutes.

If that still doesn't work, try heating up the spark plug itself with a propane torch.

If all else fails, then you'll be breaking the plug and you'll have a big problem.
Take it to a shop so they will be responsible for getting all the little pieces out of the cylinder.

Figured out PCV Valve....there's a video on You Tube!!!

Still can't get the Spark Plugs out...sprayed some WD-40 on them and will let them soak overnight....if they still don't come out in the morning...I know they are seized in....

Hope it goes well...

How'd it go? I am about to change mine.

This may sound stupid but are you trying to unscrew them the right direction, counter clockwise.?
Also known as "lefty loosey, righty tighty". Talking about a point at the top of the bolt or nut (twelve o'clock position) as you look at it.

When I was instructing, I was told not to use the word "right" when what I meant was "correct".

As in, "Do I go left here?" "Right." Oops. :)
