I finally pulled the trigger on my tire purchase. I installed a set of Kumho Road Venture SAT KL61's, size 235/65/r17.

I'm experiencing some tire rubbing in the inner well at extreme right and left turns. It's so mild, it isn't worth worrying about. I just back off the steering wheel an inch or so, and the rubbing stops.

I'm really happy with these tires on the Pat. They don't look as aggressive as I had imagined, but I think they have a classy look. Performance has been fine, but I haven't really put them through the paces yet. Tire noise is not noticable, and certainly less offensive than the Wrangers I had on there before.

Man, that thing looks sweet. Reminds me of my white Cherokee I traded in. Love the tires as well. Where did you buy them and what did you pay if you don't mind my asking. I can't find them in that size on discount tire. Thanks

Thanks! Funny you mentioned the Cherokee, because I got this as a tribute to my old white Jeep Cherokee. Loved that Jeep!

I paid $125 each at Tires Plus in Annapolis, MD. I think it came up to $540 for all 4 tires, mounted and balanced.

looks nice. what do you use the rack for?
I have a 17' Current Designs kayak, a mountain bike, and a road bike. Actually, my biggest reason for buying a Patriot instead of a Liberty was that I love the low roofline. Makes it easy for loading stuff on the roof.

Tires look great. I was about one click from buying those, until I found a set of Used BFG AT's for a great price, maybe when these ones where out.

Nice color on the Jeep!

I Have the 4x4 fd1 which sits 1 inch lower. I wonder if there would be more rub at that height if I went with these tires at this size. I really like the tread pattern and the way these look.

Definitely! But I wanted something with some street manners, too. The trails around here aren't too extreme. I think these tires should do the trick...
Thanks for the reply. Let us know how they do. Good luck! :smiley_thumbs_up:
