Hi everyone,

Today I went to the gas station, and after I filled up, I replaced the gas cap, and the car wouldn't start even though it started just fine 5 min prior. I tried starting 2-3 times with no luck. The check engine light was on.

However, after waiting about 10 minutes, I tried to start the engine again and it worked just fine.

Has this happened to anyone? Is it something that I should take to the dealer?

Thanks,

Pbro

This has happened to a few people... Not sure about the fix, but if a light was illuminated, a code was logged, and you should have your dealer look at it.

After the gas stopped pumping, did you top it off some more? I thought I read that happening to a few Patriots here and topping off was the cause.

I hope so. We have an appointment to take it in tomorrow. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

There's nothing worse than the thought that your car may "crap out" on you in the middle of nowhere.
